Comments:
At the first glance I dismissed this female duo as another soft-pop band with a Sinead O'Connor complex (both women had shaved heads), but after hearing 'This Is Your Life' a few times (before MTV realised some people might like it and decided to stop playing it) I began to appreciate the lyrics. I grew to like it. A few years later I found it really cheap (29 SEK, cheaper than the average CD single) in a mailorder catalogue, and consequently bought it. I wasn't disappointed; there were more nice pop songs here with lyrics that I found insightful and that appealed to me. Musically, it sort of reminds me of The Beloved, in particular Happiness in places. Also, it was produced by Stephen Hague, who has produced a lot of nice pop bands, including New Order and Pet Shop Boys (and some not-so-nice I won't bother to mention).
