Comments:
'Över Tid Och Rum' ('Through Time And Space') is more synth pop from A&F. A bit more poppy than the first album, and with some typical early-sample-technology drum sounds (and FX). A little less synthetic feel, but not too much.
In '1-0-0-1-0' the lyrics are about the need to understand computers and use a common language both man and machine can understand (is it fascination or sarcasm?). 'Hav' reminds me of 'Vidare' or 'Krafter...' on the previous album in the sense that mankind is researching something, in this case it's the ocean instead of outer space or the universe. 'Under Glas' is a quite poppy tune about our precious culture and how refined we are (sarcastic?), but that this makes us vulnerable. 'Tyngdlös' ('Weightless') brings us back to the space theme of the previous album, about the freedom of floating around without boundaries, and the strange effects on time space travel may have. 'Över Tid Och Rum' is a sharp (well, for A&F anyway) synthetic tune, with lyrics along the lines of 'Från Min Radio' or 'Bärande Våg' off the previous album; hi-tech communication between lovers, his woman beaming her hologram to him in a millisecond. The lyrics are actually quite clever and heart warming to a tech geek like myself (reminds me just a little bit about Computerlove). 'Utanför' is perhaps the first real departure from the world of technology. It's about a lonely man who watches happy people in their warm homes, wishing he was with them. Later, when he himself is inside in the warmth, he's watching the people passing by outside, and his locks and protection makes him feel like a prisoner. 'I Fördatorisk Tid' ('In The Pre-Computer Age') is a mechanical rock-ish synth tune (like if computers made rock music?) about the problems of our ancestors, how inconvenient everything was before the computer was invented. Now, however, when we have computers, everything is perfect and we don't have any troubles whatsoever (visionary or sarcastic?). 'Ljuset På Min Väg' is a regular love ballad, with little less than a piano and some synth & drum machine backing. It's actually quite moving, at least to me. In fact, there's not much about it that is regular for a love ballad, since those are usually too smooth; it's just not a typical A&F song. The bonus track of the CD version is an acoustic version of '5:e Avenyn' off the previous album. It sounds a lot more like an old 70:s protest song in this state (only acoustic guitars providing the music), but not so much it's annoying. Still, there are some hi-tech echoes to remind you it's A&F, and not completely organic.
