Comments:
Every once in a while there comes along a dance track that I like. Not very often, but it happens. I liked this one, because when it was released there wasn't much out there that sounded like it. It's a very minimalistic song; whitey-soul female vocals over some nice piano chords (backed up by spacey synth strings) and a sampled drumbeat loop. That's it. Well, and some occasional FX and a 'techno-break'. The vocals are good and quite soulfull (for a white chick in a dance song), and the melody is rather catchy.
So, what about all those remixes, then? Well, I usually have a soft spot for remixes, but that does not include stereotypical bad discomixes that completely ruin the song by looping bad vocal samples infinitely and taking out all the good parts and replacing then with cheap bad inferiour trash. My favourite is clearly the nice and long 'original version' followed by the similar (but shorter) 'radio edit'. I could well do without the other ones. Whenever I play this CD it's usually just track 3. There's a reason for that.
