Again a drastic change in style from these Bimbos. The funky drums
introduced in the background on
Tunes From A High Wire
are here the rhythm focus, and the shouted/disted vocals make 'Ten Seconds To Crazy'
sound like an industrial rap track. It's very good. Also, the sampled
dist guitar riffs are more in the foreground here, giving the songs
a metal/rap edge. The samples are still here, but not in the same excessive
amounts.
Apart from the new track, there are some old ones re-made in this
new style, like the excellent 'Tucker' off
Tunes From A High Wire has been
given that rap/metal treatment, and so has 'Corruption' which is quite
different here than both the
Tunes From A High Wire version
and the Configuration 1 + 2 version.
'Ice Blender' starts off with a soft tinkly intro, which then kicks into
an near-speed-metal-rap version of this old track. Again, it's quite different
from the old version, but this version is also very good and powerful. It ends
as it started, with a soft blippy outro that later mutates into the sample
territory again, mixing in twisted samples of the old version.
