Comments:
One of Jean-Luc DeMeyers side projects after 05:22:09:12 Off; here he only does the lyrics and vocals. This is actually nothing more than one big maxi single, with tons of remixes of a mere handful of songs. It gets a bit repetative to listen to the whole thing at once, but some of the mixes are quite good and can be enjoyed by themselves. Mostly, it's EBM type music not too far (but not too close either) from J-L's band Front 242, but the music is (while often quite good) not as refined as 242.
I'm a bit annoyed by the band name; by 1995 (when this was released) the whole cyber thing was so beaten to death it felt like a bad genre clich‰ to use such a name, especially with the 'innovative' spell of Tec (well, at least it wasn't "Tekk"). If you listen to the original mixes, it is a bit too much standard EBM, a bit old, tired and clich‰d, but still a notch above most bands of the genre (J-L's strong vocals help to lift the songs). The strongest track is probably track 4, the Birm6 remix; a band J-L has done the vocals for as well.
For some reason, the volume of these tracks vary rather dramatically. If you crank up the volume for track 1 you'll probably blow your speakers once track 4 starts. Someone must have made a mistake somewhere with the volume settings.
