Comments:
Techno duo consisting of the two DJ:s Tom Rowlands & Ed Simons, formerly known as the Dust Brothers, but since that name was already taken they had to pick a new one (hence the album title).
The music is generally constructed around sampled drumloops and layered musical samples, stealing from just about everybody (including snippets from Kraftwerk's Ohm Sweet Ohm and Recoil's The Defector). It's often quite funky, 'techno funk' or 'techno rock' perhaps, mostly instrumental.
I bought this album for 'Life Is Sweet', a funky tune with wonderful disted synths and indiepop singer Tim Burgess (of the Charlatans, perhaps?), and it's pretty much a regular pop song with the Chemical Brothers' twist. I like it.
