Norwegian synth pop band, doing old Yazoo
songs. It's very synthy, blippy and happy, much like the original but with a slightly
more modern feel. The female voice is good, although not as powerful as that of
Alison.
Apparently, if one is to believe the inlay, track 3 is an old Yazoo song never
before available on CD. It's not on any records at all, no albums nor singles, apart
from a few very poor quality live bootleg tapes. This instrumental track was
supposedly being played by Vince during the 1982 tour somewhere in the middle of the
concert, to let Alison rest her voice for a while. So, is it any good? Yes, quite.
A classic Vince Clarke instrumental.
Other notabilities: Per Aksel Lundgreen of Chinese Detectives (yes, the band
name is taken from the song) used to help around with fellow Norwegian EBM band
Apoptygma Berzerk.
