This is Depeche Mode's first single. It's very much a blippy, happy,
poppy kind of synth music. The songs can also be found on the album
Speak & Spell. Actually, I like
the b-side more, since it's in minor keys and a bit darker. I can't quite
grasp what the lyrics are actually about, but hey - it's Vince Clarke, so
it's not supposed to make sense. Still, blasphemous as it may seem,
this is one of the few songs where a cover version is better than the original:
