Luckily, Human League abandoned the out-of-place 'funkiness' of Crash; this album has more of the standard cheesy Human League pop songs, but with some of those added dancey beats which was fashionable at the time, sampled drumloops and such. Apart from the apparent hit single 'Heart Like A Wheel' (which sound a bit like a more upbeat version of Love Is All That Matters) there are a few more fairly catchy songs on this album, but most are rather bland and boring, and having cheesy lyrics doesn't help much. True League fans often say this is an underrated album, but I'm not too convinved. Maybe because for me The Human League that I know and love died after Travelogue; any League material released after that has time and again proven to be merely cheap pop and somewhat disappointing in my ears. That's why I only buy them when I find them in the sale bin.
