Comments:
Mr. Pop is unusually poppy on this album; it's sort of like a standard-80:s pop album with an extra Iggy-rock-twist to it. He's been rockier than this both before and after this album. A few songs sounds a lot like David Bowie did at the time, which isn't entirely surprising since he co-wrote and produced several tracks. I bought this album mainly for nostalgia reasons; 'Real Wild Child' isn't quite as rocky as I remembered it, but still quite good. The really good song on the album is 'Cry For Love', which is quite melodic and would probably sound a lot more soft and boring if it wasn't for Iggy's deep, rough vocals (which I absolutely love on this song).
