Comments:
Members James Cassidy and Paul Robb leave, Cassidy allegedly to cook hot dogs and Robb to dive into his Think Tank and Hakatak projects, leaving only Kurt Harland in the band. While Robb's sample experiments where amusing and sometimes quite funky, it seems my favourite member must have been Kurt all along, because this album goes down very well with me. Ok, so he's jumping on the industrial bandwagon with dist guitars and noises, employing the production talents of Steven Seibold (of Hate Dept., if I recall correctly), but it all fits. It seems this is what Kurt wanted to do all along, and he does it very well. He even pulls of the potentially embarrasing cover of Are 'Friends' Electric? very well, almost like if Numan himself would do it Exile style. There are so many covers of this song that are a lot worse.
Track 10 is much like what they did on Peace & Love, Inc., but this time it's not a story but a pointer to where you can download an MP3 of the extra track 'White Roses 1.0'. I didn't actually decode the file myself (but I have a rough idea of how it would be done), but I found the file via a fan network (Control-Alt-Delete).
The second CD is data.
