As I understand it, Kristin Hersh normally does guitar pop, but this mini-CD is mostly strings, acoustic guitar and piano ("unplugged"). Some songs appear to be new (guitar and piano), some old ones are re-arranged with strings (violin, viola, cello etc). I've heard of her before but couldn't remember any specific song, and when I found this one rather cheap I just got curious. It's quite soft and melancholic, and rather good.
