M|A|R|R|S was a one-hit wonder, (as I understand it) a group of five DJ:s who,
much like Bomb The Bass around this time,
made it big with a track built almost exclusively on samples of other artists.
Of course they got sued, mainly by the main hit factory at the time,
Stock-Aitken-Waterman (produced a million soundalike artists like Rick Astley,
Kylie Minogue, Mel & Kim etc.) for some heavy sampling off their track 'Road Block'
(the first track released under the producers' own names).
Frankly, as I remember it, the 'Road Block' samples were by no means the most
significant of the track, but I may have forgotten about this. Still, most
people more or less exactly my age probably remembers this track - any older
and they dismissed it as a fad (which, in a sense, it was) and any younger
they just weren't aware of pop music.
Track 3 is a rather forgettable filler, a more standard pop-like tune which is
nothing like the techno/dance/pop of the main track. 1993 rerelease.
