Comments:

After punk rock in the late '70:s / early '80:s came a new wave of bands that made pop songs about love and such things, where many bands were utilizing the 'new' instrument the synthesizer. This new style of music was consequently referred to as 'new wave' or 'the new romantics'. I'd call it synth pop. Of course, not all 'new wave' could fit into these other two categories, and the same goes the other way as well for them. This is a collection of a few of these new romantics bands (released 1980-86), purely synthetic or mixing synths with a 'normal' pop line-up. This compilation is a rather good counterpart to another one I have on the same theme.
