Techno breakbeat girl trio, strangely enough the opening act to the show
Depeche Mode gave in the Globe in Stockholm
980913. At the time I only remembered seeing them once on MTV, playing this
particular song, thinking it was quite good and that I might look into them.
For some odd reason people keep saying
they're a "female version of The Prodigy", which
is quite silly in more ways than one (namely they don't sound very similar, and
they're more of a proper band than the Prodigy will ever be, with only Liam doing
the actual music).
Anyway, at the DM show, everybody seemed to hate this band since they sounded nothing
like DM, but I liked it. Quite aggressive.
Their show was a bit repetative, but quite good.
But then DM played and I forgot all about Purity until I found this little
gem, very cheap. I like it. I like girls. I like techno. I like breakbeats.
I like heavily portamented modulated synth gurgles. What's not to like?
