Comments:
Finally, in 1991, Page released their first album, after more than a decade of synth pop. It's sort of a 'greatest hits' up to that point in time. This band was one of the truly early Swedish synth pop bands, and a very long lasting one at that. They started off as a four-piece band, but for the main part they were only two members (as on this album). One of the two is the beautiful Marina Schiptjenko who, apart from being a 'pop star', is an artist with a gallery in Stockholm that she shares with another artist (Andr‰hn?). She has now officially left Page to focus on her new project Vacuum. The other member of Page is Eddie Bengtsson, a man who by several people (including me) has been described as the Swedish equivalent to Vince Clarke, and even if this is not a completely fair comparison to either of the two it's about as close as one can get musically. He is also the singer of Page, but his vocal talents may not be... outstanding at all times. Eddie is also the music-man of synth pop space adventure band S.P.O.C.K.
