LadyDJ and Tobi-Wan create extremely synthetic music on their two GameBoys. I saw them play live at the Arvikafestival 2002 and it was one of the most intense live experiences I can remember. Every single super-digital note hit my body with perfection. C-64 nostalgia may have played a vital part in this experience. My friend who was also there kept saying "Naah, Pluxus are better". I disagree. Different, while similar, and not necessarily better. After the show I walked up to the band to ask if they had any CD:s to sell, but they were out, so I asked for an URL or something to find them later. I got an URL scribbled down on my right forearm, which I was quick to transcribe to paper before it got smudged. Then, for days I walked around with that URL on my arm. The first thing I did when I got back from the festival was to look up that URL and order the album. I got it a week later. I love it. Lots and lots.
