Comments:

Take one part Metallica, one part Laibach and sprinkle some Front Line Assembly on top, and you've got Rammstein. Metal guitar chords, Laibach type vocals in German, some synth basslines and 'industrial' bleeps and noises and occasional drumloops, and lyrics about death and violence, love and hate and generally unpleasant stuff. There's no way I can take these guys seriously, but I kind of like this "oh-we're-so-tough-and-evil"-macho thing if you take it with a laugh. Maybe that's the difference; I'm not too fond of when Die Krupps goes metal, but Rammstein are sooo tough they're a parody of the genre. Or maybe it's just that I expected Die Krupps to do electro, while I had no expectations whatosever regarding Rammstein.
