This is the first single off the album
Assignment: Earth. Track 1 is basically
identical to the album version, so I won't waste any space reviewing that again.
Track two is melodically rather similar to the old
Neutral Zone (at least in the chorus) but a
bit faster, and the intro is close to that of
Strange Dimensions. Are they running out of
ideas? Well, perhaps it's not similar enough
to either of the two to be annoying. The lyrics are about an alien spy on
earth who was left behind due to his misconduct ("women and beer") when his
friends went back home. This track would probably fit in rather well on the
album.
The last track is a live version of a song off the album, initially
recorded for Swedish Radio P3. It starts off with Android saying (in Swedish)
"You can't keep anything for the media these days - bloody spies. Ok, we'll
play this entirely new song. If we know it yet, that is." I suppose
someone requested this brand new track just ahead of this comment. Anyway,
it's fun to hear how he almost starts laughing at the end of this little
outburst, and then again in the middle of the song when they play a short snippet
of the radio station's jingles (which is in fact a
Yello sample). Not the best
performance, but after all it was a new track.
