Comments:
A much more upbeat and poppy remixed of this otherwise rather slow song off the album Alien Worlds. It's very good - I'm having a hard time deciding which version I like more. They're very different. The lyrics are quite hilarious: it's all a huge plot to show how nice E.T:s are, to make us humans expect to be superior to them. They're really very evil and will attack us any day, so be prepared and join the Alien Resistance Movement NOW! Don't belive those Spielberg movies! He's in on it too!
Track 2 sounds to me like a very drastic remix; just the original chords are left but played differently, which is probably why they renamed it to not confuse it with the actual song. This one is instrumental, with a few shouts and voices of people looking at the sky trying to spot aliens. It's subtitled "In The Woods With A Couple Of Beers", which would indicate that there can be an easy explanation for some of the UFO sightings.
The last track is, as the title indicates, just plain noise. Tons of spacey FX, all mixed together to the point of ridicule. Why? Well, it states in the inlay that "it was made for all those complaining about our present lack of sounds effects in our songs" and there's a suggestion on what to do if you want to hear more SFX in the songs: play a tape with the SFX in your Walkman while you have another S.P.O.C.K tune on the CD player. Adjust the Walkman volume to give you all the SFX you need. I also have a theory about the title: the 'old' SFX man and former member was named Cybernoid (suggesting the title of the track being sort of a pun) made lots of spacey FX, which a lot of people missed when he left. The new member Plasteroid (a.k.a. Asteroid, Polaroid, Hemoroid etc.) was accused of not being as handy with the SFX, and here's the response to that. Make up your own mind.
