Comments:
A great soundtrack from a movie I never saw. Some people I know liked it, but I'm not too sure I would. The music seems to be mostly techno, which seems a bit odd for a movie based on a '60:s TV series, but I suppose they've brought good ol' Templar into the '90:s (providing the opportunity to use lots of neat hi-tech gadgets and mentioning the word "Internet" at least three times) and made him ever so hip. In fact, I was stunned in silence when I heard that Orbital had done the Saint Theme, but they sure made a great job of it. So good that I was compelled to buy the single (before I knew I'd find this CD quite cheap merely a few months later). Still, there are lots of other great tracks on this CD, like the ones from Moby, Fluke, ChemBros, Underworld, Duran Duran (yes, although they've recently been doing some second rate stuff, this is a great pop song) and a bad remix of an otherwise excellent David Bowie song. I still feel (opposite to the rest of the world, it seems) that Daft Punk is a bit overrated. Or maybe I just don't get it? It's neither very original nor very new to my ears.
