About NetBSD/ia64

NetBSD/ia64 is a work-in-progress effort to port NetBSD to the Itanium family of processors. Currently no formal release is available.

Please note that code for this effort is not in the official NetBSD source tree. The code is collaborated on a private CVS server, although snapshot are made available publicly. Please see the mailing list archives for more information.

The ia64 port will support CPUs that implement the 64bit Intel Itanium architecture.

Current work on this port is being done by a group of volunteers on HP's ski simulator.
