NetBSD/next68k

About NetBSD/next68k

NetBSD/next68k is a port of NetBSD to the 'black' 68k NeXT hardware.

It currently only runs on 68040 NeXT systems using non-ADB keyboard and mouse. There is experimental support for turbo NeXT machines (33Mhz) in NetBSD-current.

Easily installed binary distributions of NetBSD/next68k are available for the 2.0 release and for snapshots of NetBSD-current.

Matt DeBergalis is the maintainer of NetBSD/next68k. Darrin B. Jewell was the maintainer until the release of NetBSD 1.5.1 and still contributes to NetBSD/next68k.

2005-12-23: NetBSD 3.0 released: NetBSD 3.0 has been released with support for 57 architectures. More information is available in the 3.0 release announcement.

2005-11-02: NetBSD 2.1 released: NetBSD 2.1, the first maintenance release of the netbsd-2 release branch, has been released with binary distributions for 48 architectures. More information is available in the 2.1 release announcement.

2004-12-09: NetBSD 2.0 released: NetBSD 2.0 released with support for 48 architectures. More information is available in the 2.0 release announcement.
