The latest official release is NetBSD 3.0. One can also obtain older formal releases of NetBSD, as well as snapshots of the -current development tree.

Daemon News has been selling NetBSD releases on shrink-wrapped CD sets since 1999. They are currently available at bsdmall.com and for resellers through Cylogistics. They will always have the current set. These include a 3rd "Live Filesystem" CD and are available on a subscription basis.
Daemon News uses the proceeds to promote NetBSD at trade conferences and subsidize the DN Print Magazine.
MCD2 Diffusion distributes a NetBSD 1.6 CDROM.

Wasabi Systems carries two editions of the NetBSD 1.6 release on CD-ROM. The Standard Edition contains bootable CDs for i386 PC, Alpha, DECstation, SPARC, Power Macintosh, and VAX platforms. The Deluxe Edition contains 6 CD-ROMs and over 3 GB of pre-compiled third party software for x86 PCs. They are available through the Wasabi Systems web site.
Cylogistics is a distributor for the Daemon News 1.5.3 and Wasabi 1.5.2 NetBSD releases on CD-ROM, as well as other BSD products to resellers only. Cylogistics also promotes NetBSD at shows and events.
The NetBSD/i386 firewall project now sells a CD version as well. The CD does not only contain the firewall distribution, but all the binaries and sources of the i386 port of NetBSD as well. There's also a 3-CD kit that contains the source code of almost all the packages in the package source tree.
