The camera's file names for these images all start with 20100627, so that's when they were taken. I went for a walk. I saw a small house with a welcome sign: ^architecture/welcome.jpg I spotted some paintings on a bridge where a big road crossed some water: ^paintings/juno.jpg ^paintings/juno_and_a_mouse_with_glasses.jpg ^paintings/LeS.jpg I continued along the big road and found another, smaller bridge. It too contained some paintings: ^paintings/HdoG.jpg ^paintings/alex.jpg That last one must have been painted recently: ^329.jpg I could see there was something interesting at the other end, but this tunnel was just for water, not for humans. I tried walking through it but the water was just a little bit too deep for this to be comfortable: ^330.jpg Instead I climbed up to the road again and crossed it and then down to the tunnel under the bridge again from the other side: ^paintings/SET.jpg Worth it? Not really. :-) There's a pond near the university, with some birds. I tried, again, to make some bird movies. The result was not great. Most of the time they just sat there doing nothing, or they walked away from the camera, or they hid behind some grass. Then, the moment I turned the camera off, they immediately started swimming/walking about looking cute and interesting. If I turned the camera on then, well, they immediately stopped and started with the dull behaviour again. Swimming birds (5 MB): ^Andsim.mp4 Walking birds (9 MB): ^Andpromenad.mp4 Many birds (4 MB): ^Manybirds.mp4 (Squirrels, crows, and hares are worse. They are just too intelligent. They sit around looking cute until you aim something at them (nevermind that it's just a camera). The moment you press the button they are *gone*! Cats and dogs are fun too, managing to look in every direction except that of the camera.) Then I went to Mjölkuddsberget, which is a place with some "forest" (but it's small, and close to a big road, so it's not particularly quiet). ^339.jpg I decided to ignore the nice big roads on the mountain and instead go for the small paths going up: ^340.jpg ^341.jpg ^343.jpg Looking down: ^344.jpg And up again: ^345.jpg ^346.jpg Then I found another info sign: ^347.jpg It explains that this used to be a beach and the sea moved lots of nice, rounded stones here. They are still there. ^348.jpg ^349.jpg ^350.jpg When I walked on the stones they made a cool noise, which gave me a good excuse to make another film (12 MB): ^Stenpromenad.mp4 The walk continues up: ^351.jpg ^352.jpg Getting closer to the top there are lots of weird "functional" looking buildings and other technical stuff: ^353.jpg ^354.jpg ^356.jpg The top itself has what looks like leftovers of some old building on it: ^355.jpg Up: ^358.jpg Seen at the top: ^359.jpg ^362.jpg 360 degrees of the view at the top (9 MB): ^Toppfilm1.mp4 Then a less than 180-detree thing where you can see some things (9 MB). 1. First there's some water in the distance. I think that's the lake with the mosquitoes. 2. Then I stop for a moment at some other water. That's the river. 3. At the end one can('t quite) see the city. ^Toppfilm2.mp4 I walked around the big white round building and made a film of that. About half way I stopped and restarted the camera so I wouldn't end up with another un-mailable film: (22 and 23 MB): ^Konstrunda1.mp4 ^Konstrunda2.mp4 Taking the more touristy and less sporty road down: ^360.jpg ^371.jpg Somebody should tell the tourists to move the contents of the woodshed to the fire place before lighting the fire: ^374.jpg Look! Giant pencils! ^376.jpg Q: What's that at the base of that mast? ^383.jpg ^384.jpg A: It is an amazing art exhibition covering the four sides of a "functional" looking building: ^paintings/SAUS_JAM.jpg ^paintings/unreadable_pinkdesign_MISK.jpg ^paintings/unreadable_blue_and_pink_slightly_damaged.jpg ^paintings/face.jpg ^paintings/unreadable_one.jpg ^paintings/TME.jpg ^paintings/asofzt.jpg ^paintings/Ralph.jpg ^paintings/Seth.jpg ^paintings/mmm..papaya.jpg ^paintings/JO.jpg ^paintings/meaningless_damage.jpg (Why is it that when somebody talented has spent a lot of time and effort on a nice looking thing somebody completely untalented has to come along and scribble his initials right across the nice looking artwork?) Before getting to the art exhibition I noticed something strange: ^390.jpg Looking closer you can see it's a cave with bars in front of it: ^386.jpg ^405.jpg OK, I have been here before. That time the door was broken (apparently they fixed it). I could have gone in there that time. I didn't. It's a strange looking room in there, with lots of garbage in it (not very inviting): ^388.jpg ^389.jpg ^387.jpg Walking on I found another one of those cave things: ^406.jpg This one had a broken door: ^407.jpg No heaps of nasty looking garbage though, so I went in: ^408.jpg ^paintings/abstract_black_blue_drops.jpg ^paintings/900.jpg ^411.jpg ^paintings/MU.jpg Not far from this one I found another cave door: ^413.jpg This one was quite dark inside, and I didn't feel like going in there to check it out (I wouldn't have been able to see anything anyway). One funny detail: there's one broken door, and another door next to it on the ground. And another: ^414.jpg ^415.jpg ^paintings/GA.jpg ^paintings/unhappy_guy.jpg ^paintings/octopus.jpg And a film (8 MB): ^Trollgrotta.mp4 And another one of the smaller caves: ^420.jpg Oh look! More UP! 421.jpg Of course I climbed right into that, and found... some furniture: ^422.jpg ^423.jpg ^424.jpg And some more poop. It looked quite similar to that I found a few days earlier on the road to the cow ferries, only this one looked a little less fresh, like it had been there a while. I had forgotten to pack my ruler (as I said I would) so I put my phone next to it instead, to give you an idea of the size (and to give Tim a reason to freak out). The phone is a Nokia 1208 and is 10.2cm long. As you can see, obviously not from a moose: ^425.jpg I saw some animals on the mountain, but when I got my camera out they had usually disappeared. This squirrel would have been invisible on an ordinary photo (7 MB): ^Ekorre2.mp4 Then I left the mountain because I found a tunnel, with some pictures in it. Not quite my initials: ^426.jpg Other: ^paintings/FCA.jpg ^paintings/munk.jpg ^paintings/naggl.jpg ^paintings/orange_guy.jpg ^paintings/ormod.jpg ^439.jpg ^paintings/mayl.jpg ^paintings/YBS.jpg Then back to the mountain. UP again: ^442.jpg ^443.jpg Another broken door: ^444.jpg ^445.jpg (That was quite dark. I didn't see anything. I didn't go in there. I just stuck my camera in with flash on and clicked.) Another broken door: ^447.jpg ^448.jpg (Same thing with the flash on the second picture.) Some more "functional" looking stuff that had not been broken into: ^449.jpg ^paintings/two_faces.jpg ^paintings/face_NCAC.jpg Left the mountain again. Found some stuff that seemed to be ancient: ^paintings/brik.jpg ^paintings/brik2.jpg ^paintings/SOLE.jpg Bamse was here: ^457.jpg Tires: ^461.jpg During this part of the walk I was looking for something specific. I had walked there maybe ten or twelve years ago and remembered a cave door with paintings on it. I found it: ^462.jpg Unfortunately they had put some bars on it. Whatever paintings had been there had faded badly: ^464.jpg There was a cute alien frog in the corner though: ^463.jpg BIG concrete blocks: ^470.jpg Fireplace by the water: ^476.jpg with a little wagon for the firewood? ^477.jpg and a ladder leading up into an invisible treehouse: ^478.jpg The Phantom lives here? ^479.jpg ^architecture/small-treehouse.jpg A playground for big children: ^483.jpg This was shortly after a discussion where Tim Weaver said he wanted a pair of mittens, with fingers. Guess what I found! ^484.jpg Maybe the previous owner lives in one of these houses? ^architecture/neighbours.jpg Then I continued my walk along some water: ^498.jpg ^499.jpg ^500.jpg film (23 MB) ^Kanalbro.mp4 I found a playground, with instructions! (since when does a playground need instructions?) ^501.jpg (Hmmm... I seem to have forgotten to take a picture of the playground itself. It's not the one on the picture on the sign.) Then I came to "the duck pond". I saw this guy: ^505.jpg film (9 MB): ^Duva.mp4 Another attempt at a bird film (4MB): Andfilm.mp4 A nice looking motorcycle: ^paintings/motorcycle.jpg I came to a fence where I've walked many times thinking I should go there with a camera. Well, this time I did. The trees there are... interesting... ^513.jpg ^514.jpg ^515.jpg ^516.jpg ^517.jpg ^518.jpg Another bird, non-animated, not-moving, an ex-bird: ^528.jpg Making movies is tricky. They should have a story, a beginning, an end, etc... Here's a train movie (23 MB): ^LKABtrain.mp4
