This is the third single in the three-box-set for
In Your Room. Track 1 is a kind of like
the 'zephyr', but with funkier drums, more scratches and less guitars. The
vocals are high-pass filtered and a little disted. It gives me a kind of
'sad' feeling; I guess it's that melancholic guitar line
that does it. The 'apex' is kind of slow and ambient, and with very little
vocals, just a sampled 'a-aah-a-aaaa' by Martin. The bassline is quite
deep, and rather appealing. However, after a while it feels a bit repetative.
Track 3 isn't very good, IMHO. All that excellent spacey feel from the
album version is gone, and
replaced with some dark disco beat - kind of like a not-so-good version
of the 'Rush' remixes on the Condemnation
single.
All in all, these remixes feels a bit like a waste of money. I wouldn't
want to be without them, though, fanatic as I am.
