This single has more of a modernized version of the 'feel' on
Leave In Silence rather than the
edge of Everything Counts; if the
latter was a political single, this one is concentrating on the less
nice parts of love.
It was also the very first Depeche Mode song I distinctly remember hearing.
I also remember not liking it very much - I was in the middle
of my heavy metal era.
A pretty interesting track is number 5; Depeche Mode goes 'Unplugged'.
A drum machine with a very simple rhythm, a piano, a guitar,
that's it. It sounds like crap for the first 30 seconds or so,
but once you get into the track it's very cool, sort of jazzy.
