Comments:
To me this seems as an attempt to sound like in the 'old' days; up-tempo, blippy, happy synth pop. It's not quite as poppy, though, but pretty much the same style. A rather good 'Vince emulation'.
As for 'Oberkorn': this is a moody, slow instrumental track with a very nice feel to it, not at all very poppy and blippy. It sort of points out the direction several B-sides will go in in the future. Perhaps it was just meant to fill some space on the single, but it's a good track IMHO.
The 'fairly odd mix' is, as you might expect, fairly odd. It has some pretty amusing and fairly odd breaks here and there, with inserts of blip orgies and cut-up vocals, even a fun little voice snippet from Martin saying "what do you want to do then, what can we do?". I like it :-)
'The Meaning Of Love' can also be found on the album A Broken Frame.
