Comments:
This is the first and only single taken from the album Hard Wired. I suppose it was chosen as a single because it's the one song on the album that resembles the Millennium album the most; it would fit rather well into that album. Still, it does sound a bit fresher, stomping and electronic with some nice and spooky chords. The Biosphere remix is quite stripped down; it's quite minimalistic, with a simple beat, a bassline and occasionally some blips and hints of the spooky chords. Then the track builds up to get increasingly spooky and cold. It's a very good remix. The Haujobb remix is something in between the Biosphere version and the original version; sort of stripped down and altered, and quite good. 'Epidemic' sounds a bit like the original version of 'Circuitry', but perhaps it's a bit softer in the verse with those vocoded vocals. The chorus however is quite intense, and with thrash-metal-like thundering bassdrums, only more mechanical sounding. It's nearly guitar-free, yet still quite noisy. It wouldn't seem misplaced on the album.
The second disc is only shipped with the limited version of the album, and contains another mix of 'Circuitry', which is quite close to the original except I can't detect any dist guitars in it. 'Destructive Transformation' is sort of an ambient track, and in truth merely a dumping track for old samples Leeb & Fulber have used either on FLA tracks or in side projects. Especially the Robocop 2 and Freejack samples seem a bit tired and old, and the seemingly infinitely looping main humming bass tone is from Recoil, and was used in an Intermix track intro. 'Hydrogen' is a quite good b-side, but perhaps a little bit too much like a weaker version of Mindphaser. It's not a copy, but try singing the 'Minphaser' chorus to 'Hydrogen' - it works.
