This is a bit less of a
Kraftwerk clone than the
Komputer E.P., but still quite Kraftwerkish.
The lyrics are a lot more English sounding, and about a trip around London,
visiting various more or less known places. What is very Kraftwerkish
is the theme; Kraftwerk often chose a theme like
cars or
trains, and here Komputer pick an
unused theme: the subway (or "underground", if you prefer that word).
It gives the song a distinct Kraftwerk feel, while sounding less like them
than the aforementioned earlier Komputer E.P.
The other tracks are basically remixes, ranging from the slow relaxing
ambient 'DLR' (makes me think of when I fell asleep on the Stockholm subway)
to the dancier upbeat 'Underground London' and back to relaxing with 'Metroland'.
