Comments:
Mauro Scocco is probably the guru of Swedish pop music, at least of the '80:s and early '90:s. Every living Swede must have heard at least 20 or so of his songs, either sung by him or other artists. He was the singer and main songwriter of the well-known band Ratata, and he's had a very successful solo career as well as written songs for and produced tons of other Swedish pop artists. This is his first solo album, from the time when he was still in Ratata.
This album is fairly good for a pop album, although I don't listen to it much nowadays. I bought this during my Ratata/Scocco period in '91, which was triggered by his second solo album, that for some reason struck a chord in me at the time. It's somewhat better than this one, but this is OK too. Playing it now for this review takes me several years back in time, I don't think I've really listened to this one since '92 or so, not counting when I've used it as background music when I've been visited by people who find the rest of my music too disturbing.
Come to think of it, 'Ond Cirkel' pretty much sums up my life at the moment. I wish it didn't.
