Comments:

This album is even less like Pretty Hate Machine, and takes the noisy dist guitars further than on Broken. There are more quirky noises, more odd sounds and generally weirder songs. I get a bit fed up with all the "fuck" and "pig" everywhere (two words used extensively on the whole album), and songs like 'Big Man With A Gun' are just downright silly. That said, there's a lot to like about this album as well, at least if you share my views. True, Trent is still pretty much whining about things, but this time it's more about how fucked up he is than how much everybody hates him. I can't say these lyrics grab me as much as those on 'Pretty Hate Machine', but they're still Ok. Mostly. What particularly pleases me is the way he mixes silent melodic parts with noise bursts, but overdone that can also be a bit repetative; he seems to use it quite a lot.

Still, I'd say this is a pretty good album. I've listened to it quite a lot, and even though it's no 'Pretty Hate Machine', it's still very good in places.
