Comments:
This album, though it sounds like it was recorded in 1981, sounds more fresh and well-produced than Page. The instrumentation and song structure also seems very similar to that of Alien Worlds, a S.P.O.C.K album released the same year. This is hardly surprising, since Eddie is involved in both bands. Most of the songs are really bouncy and catchy, but there are a few that I'm not too fond of (like tracks 5 & 9). Lyrically it spans from the silly to the insightful, much like Page usually is, but perhaps a bit more clever at times. One thing that annoyed me at first was the seemingly never-ending repeats of the chorus in track 3, but considering it's entitled "Listen To Your Mother" you can think of it as the sort of nagging mothers often do, which makes it work really well. Humour that appeals to me, for some reason.
